All Pvt. school will be not allowed to hike their fees without taking prior permission of the government, informed Sarma, adding that schools violating the order will be shut down under the Disaster Management Act.

He further said that if the lockdown continues till May 30, then there will be a 52-day loss in the academic year, excluding holidays. This can be made up by keeping the school working on all Saturdays, curtailing the number of declared holidays and reducing summer holidays. They can even remain open on Sunday, Himanta Biswa Sarma added.
